It’s Newer, Cheaper and Does Offline

I imagined using E for Easy, or sExy or something like that but decided against the childish and lame approach. But irrespective of that, Sony are saying that this PSP version is meant to be for wee teens and the like. That doesn’t mean that the PSP E-1000 isn’t sexy, what with it’s touch based bottom buttons and body finish that is matte (which is an impressive take I should add). It’s also lighter, somewhat larger than the PSP and… wait for this, doesn’t have WiFi. Now you get the Offline joke, uh? UH? 😀
That’s why little kids are to love this model more than the rest of us than can whine about how much cello-tape costs and spend 3x on beer.

Vita pre-order release date

It’s all Sony in the airwaves right now as Slashgear spotted a Dec 31st release date on Amazon’s US site for the PS Vita. Both the US and UK sites however are offering the wi-fi and wi-fi + 3G models of the Vita, with the prices still $249.99/£229.99 and $299.99/£279.99 for the respective models.

Nothing on a shipping date for UK, both it’s probably going to be around that date range.

A Leaked Release Date For The PS Vita

One little birdie flew all the way from a far away land called IGN to tell me that through power, might and magic a certain online retailer has placed a release date for the PS Vita on their site, with prices for the Wi-Fi version and 3G version both present and placed as £229.99 and £279.99 respectively. That’s essentially £230 and £280, should be fair… seeing as the Vita’s been claimed to be region free.

If you play the video right, the Vita might start to dance.

Sony did say that the PSV (let’s all adopt that shall we?) would be out late this year, so ShopTo.net putting up a November 4th sales date is pretty decent. No way I’ll be doing this, but definitely I shall have this shiny shine shine thingamajig in the palm of my hands soon enough… *insert evil piano sonata and mad scientist laughter here*

It’s Does Online: PSN that is

So after about 22 days of offline activity due to the attacks of hackers, PSN has started coming back up. Now we can all be free of the ‘It only does offline’ and ‘Sony Offline Entertainment’ jokes. I’m pretty psyched, and I don’t have a PS3.
